Lutersee above Oberalp Pass

Description
Along the Oberalpsee, we usually encounter numerous patient fishermen hoping for a good catch. They do not get disturbed. The effort for us only begins after the gallery of the pass road. A mountain path leads us in steady switchbacks to the Lutersee. Simply beautiful, how it lies in a basin surrounded by meadows and rocks at the foot of the Grossschijen! To the south, a mountain panorama opens up to us, from the Grisons and Ticino mountains to the Uri Alps. We stay for quite a while - we do have a picnic, swimwear, and a blanket with us.
We continue hiking along an old military road below the Schneehüenerstock to the Fellilücke. From here, we can see into Central Switzerland. The Hinterfellital to the Oberalp Pass is very varied in landscape. We encounter rare flowers and green meadows with cotton grass, crossing the Fellibach repeatedly.
Option 1: Hike up from the Lutersee to the mountain station of the Schneehüenerstock and take the gondola down to the valley. (approx. 40 minutes)
Option 2: Take the gondola from the middle station Platte down to the valley.
