Realp - Furka Pass

The family-friendly hiking trail starts in the idyllic village of Realp with 160 inhabitants. From the station of the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway, you head towards the Witenwasserental. Along the way, you pass the station of the historic Furka steam railway. Just a few meters later, the path leads right at a larger junction in front of the Furka steam railway depot. From there, it goes up the mountain to the Furka Pass. On the way, hikers pass old mountain huts, green meadows, the historic Furka Pass road, and the impressive route of the Furka steam railway. At the pass height, there's a place to stop at the Furkablick restaurant. For the way back, you can then take the PostBus to Realp.
