Rotondohütte SAC

The Rotondohütte at 2570 m above sea level offers surrounding beautiful hikes in summer and breathtaking ski tours in winter. The sun terrace offers a sensational view of the Witenwasser Glacier, which becomes even more beautiful with the culinary specialties of the hut. 

The route starts in Realp (1538 m above sea level). The path leads into the Witenwasserental on the wide and very well-maintained military road towards Oberstafel. Passing green meadows and surrounded by impressive mountain chains, you hike up the winding road. The road requires a permit and car traffic is therefore limited, which makes hiking even more enjoyable.  

At point 2155, on the right in the direction of travel, the hike leaves the military road and follows a well-trodden path around the Helig Egg up to the Rotondohütte at 2,570 m above sea level.
