Description

Cross-country skiing along the Rhine is a pleasure for young and old, for beginners and experts. With all the loops, there are over 30 km of trails, prepared using the latest techniques, classic and skating. (Disentis - Trun - Disentis)

The runners start in Disentis, at the Klosterhof in Salaplauna. After a first loop on a large meadow, there is a sporty descent down to the Rhine. From now on, the gentle murmur of the water is your constant companion, the trail runs sometimes on the left, then again on the right side of the Rhine and leads through alder forests and across flat meadows. There are refreshment stops in Surrein and in Trun you can also enjoy some culture. Next to the trail is the Senda d'Art, where remarkable works of art by various local artists can be viewed in the open air.

If you still have enough energy left, you can ski back from Trun to Disentis. The return journey by train is recommended for leisure skiers.

Trun night trail: On the 5 km long night trail in Trun, you can glide along under floodlights on 4 days of the week. (Mondays to Thursdays) from 18.00 - 21.00 hrs.

Sun trail: On the 3.5 km long Salaplauna-Rieven circular trail, you can do as many laps as you like.

Training trail: The 1.5 km long circular trail in Fontanivas is already covered with snow at the beginning of winter and is ideal for training.

Segnas cross-country ski trail: If the snow conditions allow, an additional circular trail of approx. 5 km is prepared in Segnas.

Trail report: www.nordic-surselva.ch (If there is a lack of snow, it is possible that only individual sections of the trail are open)

Free access to the cross-country ski trail with the guest card: You can find more information about the guest card here
