Description
We are in for a varied hike on side streets, neighborhood paths, and prepared winter hiking trails. Starting at Center Fontauna, we hike past the chapel Sogn Giachen at Cuoz and continue via Buretsch to Segnas. The original name of the village probably comes from the Latin word signum, which means signpost or landmark. Because the village was spared from fires during the French invasion in 1799, the several-hundred-year-old farmhouses have been preserved – and they are lovingly maintained to this day. A little further towards Acletta and above the Sax ski slope, it’s possible that skiers may cross our path. But we quickly return to safety as we continue through Acletta to Muntatsch. It is said to be the most beautiful viewpoint near the village. After the small valley in Clavaniev, we reach the houses of this district and shortly thereafter complete our hiking round at the sports center.
