Andermatt – Vermigel Hut

The tour starts in Andermatt and follows a dirt road through the wild and romantic Unteralp Valley. On the steadily ascending trail, you’ll pass the idyllically situated Rohr rest area —the perfect spot for a quick breather. Despite occasional traffic on the permit-required road, the route remains generally quiet and pleasant to ride. After climbing about 600 meters in elevation, you’ll reach the Vermigelhütte SAC at 2,042 meters above sea level—a popular destination for hikers and cyclists. There, you’ll find homemade specialties and a sunny terrace with views of the surrounding mountains.
