Caischavedra - Cuolm da Vi

Description
If there hasn't been recent snowfall, we expect that the edges of the ski slopes are already tracked by freeriders. But our mood remains undampened, as we are rewarded along the way with magnificent views of the mountains.
After the alpine meadows at Caischavedra, we quickly move away from the cheerful ski activity and hike uphill from one marker pole to the next. At times, we are completely alone and it is quiet around us. Halfway up, we pass a reservoir, the Lai Catrina, which in summer serves as a bathing lake. We pass by the slope bar Gendusas Dadens. Now we have to overcome a rather steep slope. But the thought that we will soon reach the highest point gives us a burst of energy. Then we see the route to Cuolm da Vi ahead of us, and until there it is easy and pleasant downhill. At the new restaurant with a sunny terrace, we settle down with coffee and a nut croissant. We have earned it.
From here, we can hike back the same way, or take the cable car to Sedrun and the train back to Disentis-Acla da Fontauna.
