Description

If we start at Oberalppass, we are nicely warmed up at Pass Tiarms. After descending into Val Val, a mostly flat forest road leads to Milez, from where we can overlook the valley and our route well.

From Milez we follow the signposted hiking trail No. 85, the Senda Sursilvana, to Sedrun. It goes up and then down again – but above all, it remains varied. Sometimes over meadows, then again through the forest we reach the bridge in Val Strem. We are in the middle of the rockfall area of 2016. Nature has left impressive traces here, but at the moment the mountain is calm and we are on the safe side. Unfortunately, since then the direct access to the waterfalls in Bauns, which we can see from here, has been closed. Passing the alpine farms in Valtgeva, we reach the trench of the village creek Drun. The name derives from "Dargun," which means dragon in German. Because the harmless little brook can become a raging dragon during heavy rain and trigger a mudslide. Today it is quite tame, and we reach the station unharmed.
