Description

The ski tour to the Pazolastock begins at the Oberalp Pass. From here, the route initially follows gentle slopes and well-maintained forest trails heading southwest. After gaining the first few meters in elevation, the landscape opens up, offering sweeping views of the surrounding peaks of the Uri Alps. The ascent covers a total of about 700 meters in elevation gain; it is moderately steep and well-suited even for beginners looking for a varied but not overly challenging route.

The summit area of the Pazolastock (at 2,739 meters above sea level) rewards hikers with a magnificent panoramic view of the Uri Alps. For the descent, there are several varied options:

  • The same route back to the Oberalp Pass

  • Via Mulde Nurschalas Grondas to Tschamutt

  • Via Pazolaälpetli, Schöni, and Nätschen to Andermatt (only in safe conditions, as this route is steeper and more exposed)
