Description

The imposing mountain range, with Piz Tiarms as its highest peak, is impressive even from a distance.

The ski tour to Piz Tiarms can be started either at the Oberalp Pass or, when the mountain railways are open, at Schneehüenerstock. From there, the route first leads up to the Fellilücke. Even here, a beautiful view opens up over the Fellital valley and on into the Reuss Valley in Uri.

After the initial ascent, the route continues toward the Wyssenlücke. Once you reach the pass, set up your ski depot. The final meters of elevation gain to the summit of Piz Tiarms are then covered on foot. Once at the top, you’ll be rewarded with a sweeping view of the surrounding mountains.

For the descent, there are two options to choose from:

  • The same route back

  • Descend into Val-Val to the chairlift station and, if desired, continue on to Tschamutt
