Description

We follow the tracks of snowshoe hikers and snowmobiles, between Swiss stone pines and larches, to the sunny Alpe Lareccio. After the alpine huts, we ascend into the small valley Rondadöira, where the landscape opens up and we can see Pizzo del Sole, the highest summit in this direction. However, we do not go that far. On the plain Gana Bubeira there is a small hut where we take a break. Depending on the time of day and year, from here we leave the sunny side. In the shade, we trace our route upwards towards Passo Predelp, passing left by the distinctive tooth Paré di Scut. As soon as we have the sun on our faces again, we head right towards the white peak, which is unnamed on the national map. Ma che bello! We are at the same elevation as Pizzo Predelp and other peaks, which we consider as our next route goal. Further away, on the other side of the Leventina, the Pizzo Campo Tencia is the most prominent peak. In the green and shady Leventina, the villages are in winter sleep.

Descent:

Option 1: Along the ascent track - powder usually good!

Option 2: Over Point 2546 to Canali di Lareccio - perfect corn snow in spring

Tip: Since the Lukmanier Pass is not accessible by public transport in winter, a call bus is available on request:
