Description

In 1964, a scene for the James Bond film "Goldfinger" was shot on the Furka Pass road. The focus was a wide curve, which is therefore called the "James Bond Goldfinger curve" and gave the Realp - Goldfinger snowshoe trail its name. Start and finish are a short walk from Realp train station towards the Furka Steam Railway depot, just behind the golf clubhouse. From there, a gentle ascent leads via "Boden" to the Furka Pass road. Following the pass road and after a small climb, you soon reach a beautiful viewpoint overlooking Witenwasserental and Realp. On the way back, guests are greeted by an old relic from early skiing days; a single standing chairlift inviting visitors to pause and reflect.
