Description
The Rossbodenstock is often climbed in combination with the Pazolastock and offers varied, and at times challenging, descents. Since the mountain is located on the edge of a wildlife sanctuary, special consideration must be given to conservation regulations when choosing a route.
The tour starts at the Oberalp Pass and initially heads toward the Pazolastock. The route then follows the ridge across the Martschalücke. In this section, you’ll need to carry your skis for a short distance.
There are several options for the descent. The classic route leads back over the Martschalücke and then via Alp Tuma to Tschamutt. Alternatively, you can return to the Oberalp Pass via a short uphill section. Those looking for a steeper and more challenging descent can ski down via Alp Rossenboden toward Andermatt.
