Description
The ski tour from Realp to the Stotzigen Firsten is one of the classic tours in the Gotthard region. The broad northeast shoulder often offers good snow conditions, making the tour a popular destination for ski tourers.
The tour starts in Realp. From there, the route initially follows Witenwasserenstrasse. Shortly before Mittglischgaden, it branches off to the right and continues along the summer hiking trail. At “Auf den Böden,” the actual ascent to the Stotzigen Firsten begins. The tour’s destination lies on the ridge at 2,747 m above sea level and offers a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains.
The route is relatively unexposed. Nevertheless, current snow and avalanche conditions must always be taken into account when planning the tour.
The descent follows the same route back to Realp.
