Les journées de ski, les sentiers de randonnée hivernale ensoleillés et l’hospitalité chaleureuse font de Disentis une destination hivernale inoubliable, où la tranquillité alpine se mêle à l’authenticité de la vie en montagne.
I didn't know too much about Andermatt-Sedrun-Disentis going into the trip, but I left absolutely in love with the resort. Arriving at the ski area by train was an unforgettable experience and one of the highlights of my trip! With 180km of terrain, you can ski different runs every day. There's everything from cruisy groomers to steep blacks and freeride terrain at Gemsstock. I also loved that the après-ski options ranged from relaxed mountain-side chats to dancing with lively music. You can't miss the toboggan run (I went on it 4 times) and skiing right into town for incredible dining (especially fondue at Gasthaus Ochsen).
When we arrived off the train we were thrilled at how convenient getting around the area was. Locating our apartment was a breeze from the station through the quaint plaza, with a few cute shops and wine bar. The minimalist approach to the design of the apartment was to stylish yet cozy with a few necessities to kick start our day. Gearing up away from home was easy because of Gleis 0 and their team of absolute pros. Our time skiing was incredible all due to the expert help of our guide Marcel, he had us feeling so good I was able to conquer my first advanced run! The vibes on the trails were so high. The on mountain dining options were so elevated beyond what we are used to, getting to sample Swiss comfort classics to fuel up was such a treat. Our pop out culinary experience was dining at Gütsch, breathtaking views of the peaks across the valley and a sunset feast to remember forever. Before ever visiting we might have thought that visiting Andermatt was a “once in a lifetime” trip but after our stay and how easy it is to navigate from airport to resort, we can’t wait to go back.
