How We Work
The development strategy covers key areas of action:
Collaborative development across cantonal and municipal boundaries
Collaboration between tourism, municipalities, cable cars, and partners
Project-based working groups
Focus on long-term value creation and sustainable development
The Strategic Committee (STRAUS) is the joint steering and development body for the Andermatt, Sedrun, and Disentis regions. It is composed of the key stakeholders in the region, including municipalities, tourism organizations, cable car operators, and other partners. Together, strategic topics are coordinated, projects are developed, and the long-term development of the destination across the Oberalp Pass is managed.
Dedicated working groups are established for specific topics and projects. The following organizational chart illustrates the structure and collaboration within STRAUS.
Current Projects
Marble Run Park
With the “Marble Run Park” project, Andermatt+Sedrun+Disentis will offer a new family experience in nature. The interactive marble runs enhance the summer offerings, promote cross-regional tourism collaboration, and showcase the region as a family-friendly, year-round destination. The first runs are expected to be playable from summer 2027.
Summits of Cycling
With Summits of Cycling, Andermatt+Sedrun+Disentis positions itself as an alpine year-round destination for road cycling, gravel biking and mountain biking. The umbrella brand brings together existing offers, infrastructure and services under one unified identity, provides clear orientation and showcases the region’s diversity across cantonal borders – all in line with the motto: Find your Line.

Completed Projects
Shared Website for Tourism Organizations and Cable Car Operators
In November 2024, the joint destination website for the cable car operators Andermatt+Sedrun+Disentis and the tourism organizations Andermatt-Urserntal Tourismus and Sedrun Disentis Tourismus was launched. The shared digital platform centralizes tourist information, offerings, and services, making orientation and planning easier for guests across regional borders. The website is available in German, English, Italian, and French.
Launch of the Urban Golf Offering in Andermatt, Sedrun, and Disentis
In summer 2025, the city-famous leisure activity Urban Golf was implemented across cantonal borders for the first time in the villages of Andermatt, Sedrun, and Disentis. The various courses combine physical activity, adventure, and exploration, creating an easily accessible summer offering for guests, families, and locals.
Planning and Implementation of Various Small-Scale Infrastructures
As part of the development strategy, various small-scale infrastructure projects were implemented for summer 2025, including the new barbecue area at Lutersee as well as additional restroom facilities in Sedrun and Disentis. These measures have enhanced existing leisure and recreational offerings and improved the quality of stay for both guests and locals.

Golden Card
Since spring 2025, the Golden Card has complemented the leisure and sports offerings for residents in the municipalities of Tujetsch, Disentis/Mustér, Andermatt, Hospental, and Realp. The program enhances the region’s attractiveness and provides locals with simplified access to a variety of recreational and sports activities: Golden Card – Leisure and Sports for Locals
Wurzelwerk
With the pilot project “Rootwork,” a new holiday concept for families was created at the Catrina Resort in Disentis in summer 2025, combining cultural education, creative family time, and flexible working opportunities. While children worked together on a large wooden sculpture and took part in guided creative activities, parents were offered co-working spaces, networking opportunities, and shared experiences.
Maighelspass Trailcamp
In August 2025, the first joint Trailcamp at Maighelspass took place. Over the course of three days, volunteers worked together with professional trail builders to restore the well-known Maighelspass Route 1 between Uri and Graubünden, while gaining insights into sustainable trail construction. In addition to the collaborative work, the focus was on mountain hut stays, exchange, and the shared community experience. The Trailcamp will take place again in 2026 – registration available here.
