The Andermatt Holiday Region is characterised by its natural and cultural landscape: imposing mountain scenery, mystical gorges and valleys, wild rivers and streams, and lush meadows and forests. That is why we are working alongside regional partners to ensure its long-term preservation. This includes providing options for travel and transport by public transport, promoting regional economic growth, and various projects aimed at protecting and maintaining the landscape.

Promotion of physical activity and health-conscious behaviour among employees
Selection of souvenir items taking into account their origin, materials and durability
Selection of give-aways with a focus on durability and reusability (e.g. cork pens and flower seed sachets)

The Andermatt Holiday Region is a delight to explore on foot. Whether you’re taking a leisurely stroll or a long hike, you’ll be treated to stunning views and a rich variety of insights into the natural and cultural landscape of our region. Guided tours, themed trails and special nature experiences bring the landscape, history and nature to life in a multitude of ways.
The municipality of Andermatt has been awarded the "Energy City" label. This label recognizes municipalities that are continuously committed to energy and climate policy and implement corresponding measures.
Andermatt Responsible brings together various initiatives and projects by Andermatt Swiss Alps AG related to energy, mobility, and resource management.
Swisstainable is the Swiss tourism sector’s sustainability programme. It supports tourism businesses and destinations in systematically developing their sustainability initiatives. The programme has three levels, each with different requirements and criteria for certification.
Level III requires recognised sustainability certification that comprehensively covers the various aspects of sustainability and is regularly audited by independent third parties. In our region, the following business is classified as Level III:
Myclimate is a non-profit foundation committed to effective climate protection. It implements climate protection projects worldwide, offers educational programmes and advises companies and institutions.
As part of the OK:GO initiative, tourism businesses collect and publish information on the accessibility of their services. This enables guests to use specific details to assess for themselves whether a service meets their individual needs. We also make the accessibility information for participating partner businesses available on our website.
