Chixxs Splitboard/Touring Ski Moderate — From Realp to Bedrettotal

Event information
Description
You regularly go on ski tours or splitboard trips and feel comfortable in the backcountry, but want to become more independent in tour planning and decision-making on the go? Which route is suitable given the current conditions? How do you recognize potential hazards? And when is it wise to adjust your plans?
In this two-day course, you will learn together with mountain guide Karin Isaksson Zgraggen how to plan tours independently, better assess the terrain and snow conditions, and make conscious decisions. The focus is on practical learning: you will be actively involved in planning and decision-making on the tour, analyze the terrain, recognize warning signs, and practice communicating your assessments within the group.
The goal is to deepen your existing knowledge, take on more responsibility, and gradually gain confidence and safety in tour planning and while out in the field.
Prerequisites
You have good ski touring or splitboarding skills and regularly venture into the backcountry. You ski confidently in deep snow and on unprepared snow, including steeper sections. You are also proficient in traversing.
Elevation gain: Approximately 1,100 meters per day of the course.
