Göschenen Station
Description
Located directly at the northern portal of the Gotthard Tunnel, the Göschenen train station connects the historic Gotthard route with the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn. From here, travelers can easily reach Andermatt, the Ursern Valley, and continue towards Valais or Graubünden. Since the opening of the Gotthard railway in 1882, the station has played an important role in rail traffic through the Alps.
