Andermatt+Sedrun+Disentis kicks off its eighth winter with half-price day passes

The winter season at Gemsstock begins on 14 November 2026

The winter season at Gemsstock begins on 14 November 2026, while the first ski days in Disentis are planned from 28 November. Guests can look forward not only to a new chairlift in Disentis, but once again to exceptionally affordable day passes. Thanks to the Half-Price Pass, a day of skiing in the largest winter sports region in the heart of Switzerland costs just CHF 46 (children: CHF 23), without the risks associated with booking early.

At most Swiss ski resorts, the principle when buying day passes is simple: the earlier you book, the less you pay. However, so-called dynamic pricing comes at a price. Anyone who commits to a discounted day of skiing weeks in advance does not yet know whether the sun will be shining or whether illness or injury might prevent them from hitting the slopes. With dynamic pricing, there is no refund in the event of bad weather, and in the case of illness or injury there is often no refund either unless additional ticket insurance has been purchased.

For seven years now, Andermatt+Sedrun+Disentis has been demonstrating that there is another way. On 14 November, Gemsstock kicks off another winter with exceptionally affordable day passes. Specifically, with the Andermatt+Sedrun+Disentis Half-Price Pass (adults: CHF 69, children: CHF 35), a day pass purchased online by the evening before costs just CHF 46 instead of CHF 92 (children: CHF 23 instead of CHF 46).

Raphael Medici, Managing Director of Andermatt Sedrun Disentis Marketing AG: «With dynamic pricing, guests bear the full risk when it comes to the weather and also have to hope they are not ill or injured on the day they have chosen to ski. With our Half-Price Pass, on the other hand, guests not only secure an exceptionally affordable day-pass price, but also retain the freedom to enjoy winter sports when the weather is right and they are fit and healthy.»

The Half-Price Pass for the 2026/27 winter season is available until 20 December 2026.

Gemsstock gets underway on 14 November

The 2026/27 winter season in the largest winter sports region in the heart of Switzerland kicks off on Saturday, 14 November 2026, at Gemsstock, initially on Gurschen. The day before, the slopes will already be open to annual pass holders for the traditional GotthardMemberClub ski day.

Continuous operations at Gemsstock are planned until 18 April 2027. This means Andermatt’s local mountain will offer a total of 156 days of skiing and snowboarding. Further investment has also been made in technical snowmaking. The aim is to produce the technical snow required for ski operations even more efficiently and with the lowest possible use of water and energy.

In the Andermatt–Oberalp Pass–Sedrun area, continuous operations are planned from 12 December 2026 to 4 April 2027.

Disentis starts with three ski weekends and a new chairlift

Winter also gets off to an early start in Disentis. Subject to suitable snow and weather conditions, the first slopes and lifts will open on the weekends of 28/29 November, 5/6 December and 12/13 December 2026. When continuous winter operations begin on 19 December 2026, a new chairlift will also go into service, replacing the existing Parlet lift. The new lift offers greater comfort, shorter journey times and higher capacity. Over a distance of 953 metres, it covers an elevation difference of around 326 metres. The journey takes less than four minutes, with a capacity of 1,400 people per hour.

Continuous winter operations in Disentis are expected to run until 4 April 2027.
